The grand finale of the 2013 Atlantic University Sport (AUS) Swimming Championships will take place at 6 p.m. tonight at the CARI Pool at UPEI.

The medley relays will be the icing on the cake at the end of tonight's finals, with each team's best swimmers in the four strokes battling it out for team honours.

UPEI's Zach Laustsen will cap off a great meet for the rookie with his appearance in one more final, when the men's 200-metre individual medley starts.

Dalhousie Tigers have an unbeatable lead in both the men's and women's team competitions, as they seek their 15th and 12th consecutive championship banner, respectively.

Amazingly, the championships have taken place completely on schedule during the weekend storm, a fact that organizers attribute to the dedicated P.E.I. volunteers who fought their way through snow banks and whiteouts throughout Saturday and Sunday.
