The Atlantic University Sport 2013 swimming championships were about the only event that was not cancelled Saturday due to the blizzard.

Action went in the morning and the finals in the evening with more finals Sunday and medal presentations bringing down the curtain on the event.

The storm did cause the cancellation of the basketball game between the UPEI men and women Panthers and the Cape Breton Capers and those games will be played Sunday at 1 p.m. for the women and men go at 3 p.m. but check the Panther website Sunday to be sure the game is still on.

The womens Panthers hockey game with the University of Moncton has been postponed until Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the MacLauclan Arena

Crazy, did you read the story? The sports were cancelled except swimming because the swimmers were staying just down the road and many volunteers stayed overnight at the university. Why are you trolling the web just to post stupid comments?

putting the value of sports over safety on the roads makes no sense to me.
