Capitals keep on winning in junior A hockey

DIEPPE, N.B. – The Summerside Western Capitals extended their winning streak in the Maritime Junior Hockey League on Thursday night.

The Capitals downed the Dieppe Commandos 5-3 to make it 13 straight wins.

The win improved the Caps’ league-leading record to 32-6-2-0 while the Commandos dropped to 19-14-1-3.

Jonathan Aubertin led the Capitals with two goals and an assist while goaltender Jacob Riley stopped 31 of 34 shots.

The Caps visit Miramichi on Saturday night, and then host the Woodstock Slammers on Sunday at 2 p.m.
