UPEI/Capers play to 1-1 tie in Mulligan Cup;Hurricanes lose 3-2

University of Prince Edward Island Panthers keeper Tyler Dykerman watches the action in front of his net Saturday afternoon during action in the Mulligan Cup against the Cape Breton Capers. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. Later in the afternoon Mount A downed the Holland Hurricanes 3-2. The final game goes Sunday at noon with a matchup between the Panthers and Hurricanes. This is the second annual Mulligan Cup, which is named for legendary UPEI sports figure Vince Mulligan. He started the mens UPEI soccer program in 1969 and was its coach until 1982. The following year he was the coach of the mens hockey team and took them to three AUAA championships. In 1978 he began the womens hockey program and in 1990 started the womens soccer program. Mulligan also won numerous coaching awards.
