No miracles for Storm in road loss

MONCTON — Trayvon Lathan scored 27 points to lead the Moncton Miracles to a 110-95 win over the Summerside Storm in National Basketball League of Canada action Monday night.

Akeem Wright added 22 points for the last-place Miracles, who improved to 5-18 with the win.

Stephen McDowell was top scorer for the Storm (9-16) with 24 points, while Jessan Gray added 14.

Al Stewart and Xavier Hansbro each had 11 points and Charlottetown native Doug McKinney had five points and six rebounds for the Summerside squad.

The Miracles led 59-50 at the half.

The Storm lost Mike Williams to a technical foul.

Eric Gilchrese, Chris Cayole and Julian Allen are on the team’s injury list.

The Storm will host the Summerside Rainmen on Thursday at 7 p.m. at EastLink Arena.
