RIMOUSKI, Que. — Francis Beauvillier scored twice and set up one more while Alexandre Mallet had one goal and two assists as the Rimouski Oceanic edged the P.E.I. Rocket 6-5 Saturday night in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Liam O’Brien, Alexis Loiseau and Jean-Francois Tanguay also scored for the Oceanic (22-17-0).
Marc-André Lévesque and Matej Beran each had a goal and two assists for the Rocket while Jessyko Bernard added a goal and an assist.
Bernard’s power-play goal made it 6-5 at 19:44 of the third.
Jimmy Oligny, his first of the season, and Josh Currie had the other goals for the Rocket (8-24-4), which was coming off an 8-3 loss to the Quebec Remparts on Friday night.
Assists went to Ben Duffy (2), Yan Pavel Laplante (2) and Louick Marcotte.
The Rocket went 3-for-4 on the power play.
The Oceanic led 2-1 after the first period and the Rocket rallied for a 3-2 lead after the second.
Maxime Lagacé faced 33 shots for the Rocket while Jacob Gervais-Chouinard faced 38 for the Oceanic.
The Rocket is now on its Christmas break and will return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Halifax before hosting Moncton on Dec. 28.
