Dowling lone P.E.I. senior to make cut

ST. THOMAS, ONT. — John Dowling of Charlottetown was the lone P.E.I. player to make the cut for the final two rounds of the Canadian senior men’s golf championship Wednesday.

Dowling’s 158 (78-80) was on the cut line of the top 70 scores and ties after two rounds of play.

Gary Moore of Charlottetown (80-80), Carl Hansen (78-82) and David Clay of Stanhope (92-85) did not survive the cut.

Play continues today.

In the inter-provincial team competition, the P.E.I. foursome finished seventh with a 478 score.

British Columbia won with a 448 while Alberta finished second with a 459.
