The defending champion Kitchener Rivershark Twins of Ontario are the team everyone is chasing through three days at the Canadian senior men’s fast pitch championship in Charlottetown.
Blair Ezekiel scored on a wild pitch with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Twins to a 5-4 decision over the Brookfield Elks of Nova Scotia Tuesday afternoon and sit alone atop the standings with a 5-0 record.
Ezekiel and Scott Newitt had two singles apiece for the winners. Mike Grant doubled, singled and drove in two runs for Brookfield, and Joel Isenor added a double and a single.
Kitchener handed the Fredericton Coors Light Twins a 5-1 setback earlier in the day. The defending champs snapped a 1-1 tie with four runs in the fifth inning on Jody Eidt's three-run homer and an Ezekiel solo shot, both off Fredericton reliever Bryan Newton.

Geoff Evely's walkoff single with two out in the bottom of the seventh lifted the Newfoundland and Labrador side to victory. Owen Sound held a 5-4 lead going into the final frame. Colin Abbott doubled twice and drove in two runs in the victory. Brad Robinson and Matt Lyon homered for Owen Sound.

West Side Charlies scored four runs in the top of the seventh to pull out the decision. Ryan Boland had two singles and an RBI for the victors. Luc Drolet singled twice and tripled and drove in a run for Quebec.

Brookfield, N.S. 7 Owen Sound, Ont. 0 (six inn.)
Pitcher Scott Wagar held Owen Sound to three hits, and Brookfield took control early with a 5-0 lead through two innings. Jason Sanford singled twice and tripled in a winning cause, driving in two runs, and Isenor and Peter Reimer contributed two hits and two RBI apiece.

Ward Gosse tossed a three-hitter with eight strikeouts as Three Cheers Pub upped its record to 5-1. Stephen Mulally doubled and singled and drove in a run for the winners. Jeff Farion took the loss in relief of Justin Schofield.

Halifax chucker Matt Bramwell, who flirted with a perfect game earlier in the tournament, had a no-hit bid broken up with two outs in the sixth inning. Trevor Boutilier had a pair of triples and three RBI for the winners.
