The Chaisson trio received the Dr. Helen Creighton Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2014 ECMA gala in Charlottetown Sunday night. From left are Judy, Kevin, Peter and Tim Chaisson. Tim, Kevin's son is a well know singer/songwriter in his own right and presented the award to the other members of his family. Creighton was a prominent folklorist in a career that spanned several decades.

Multiple award winning singer/songwriter Ian Sherwood  of Nova Scotia borrows a guitar from two time ECMA winner Chelsa Amber of Halifax to finish his set during the ECMA Soundwave series in Stratford Wednesday night. Sherwood was having trouble wioth his guitar so Amber gave him hers to use for his last song.
