Do you think P.E.I. should be involved in lobbying for upgrades to Highway 16 in N.B., the section of the Trans-Canada Highway that runs from the Port Elgin roundabout to the Confederation Bridge?

  • 54% Yes. That portion of the highway is important to our tourism as well as to Islanders who use it every day.
  • 35% No. P.E.I. has more than enough roads needing upgrades without worrying about New Brunswick's roads.
  • 9% Yes. P.E.I. should be involved in lobbying for the upgrades but not until after New Brunswick's provincial election.

On Oct. 6, P.E.I. RCMP were informed a potato in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador had been found with a metal object inside. Potatoes grown and packaged on a farm in Prince Edward Island are now being recalled and RCMP are investigating. Do you believe this incident will hurt P.E.I.'s potato industry?

  • 30% Yes. This will cause people to second-guess their decision to buy Prince Edward Island potatoes. They'll buy potatoes from some other place.
