Editor:

Last month, there was a lot of coverage over Gail Shea missing a vote in the House of Commons. However, there has been no coverage on the Island of a report in the Ottawa Citizen showing Charlottetown MP Sean Casey has missed 196 out of 616 total votes since the last election. That's over 30 per cent of the time he didn't show up for work. In fact, only eight out of 308 MPs have missed more time than Casey.

If it’s fair for Mr. Casey to ask Mrs. Shea where she was last month, it certainly begs asking why he missed 196 opportunities to vote on behalf of Islanders.

Nancy Driscoll,

Charlottetown
