It is indeed an embarrassment to Islanders and Canadians of the amount of attention being given in the media to the location of Mike Duffy’s real primary residence.
I’mnot sure if the bigger joke is Mike Duffy’s attempts to persuade people that he lives on P.E.I. or the fact that our provincial and federal governments areunable to determine his residency without the need of an inquiry.
Shouldn’t Prime Minister Harper have established this important point before appointing Mr. Duffy as a representative for P.E.I.?
I also would like to know why Mr. Duffy stated on CBC Compass last Tuesday evening that he and Gail Shea work hard to represent Islanders’ interests in Ottawa. Does this mean that, in his opinion, the other Island senators and federal members of Parliament are not doing their job?
