Contrary to what some might think that health care in P.E.I. is not adequate or very good, my experience has been that it was more than adequate.

My late wife, Anne Marie Dormaar, passed away on Jan. 30, 2013. For three years prior to her demise, she was a resident at the Beach Grove Nursing Home, which is owned and operated by the P.E.I. government. During that time she saw several doctors/specialists who gave very good and knowledgeable care.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the staff of Beach Grove for the wonderful care that they gave to my wife while she was there.

What sets Beach Grove apart was the way the wonderful staff showed caring, sensitivity and attention to her needs. They showed sincere compassion and were supportive and understanding throughout her last days there. Their efforts need to be acknowledged publicly.

It is my experience and opinion that care for the elderly and sick people on P.E.I. is outstanding. This is another aspect of living in P.E.I. that adds to the quality of life here.

Kim Dormaar,

Ebenezer
