Television got priorities wrong?

Editor: I was amazed at the irony of two news stories that ran back to back on TV the other night. The first story dealt with animals and increasing the penalties for abusing them. The second story dealt with the closing of the abortion clinic in Fredericton, N.B., and how to keep it open so more babies could be abused (actually killed).

Would perpetuating the human race and saving human life created in God’s image be top priority. Granted animals need to be treated with respect, but respect for human life doesn’t seem to be an issue here in North America. We just kill the human babies and save and protect the animals.
