We need change back to yesteryear

Editor: Elections must be close as politicians are running around promising changes. I agree, we need changes — back to what it was.

One set of keys to the house, so we just left the door unlocked. Milk delivered to the house, the deliveryman put it in the refrigerator. Dry cleaners picked up the shirts, jackets, coats and delivered them, hanging them in the hall closet. Children went to school and came home alone, as no one was kidnapped, raped or killed. Children played in front of the house with other children, did not sit in their bedrooms fooling around on the computers.

Politicians came to the houses and discussed ideas with the population. Civil servants tended to their jobs, and official things were done in short time. Children wore uniforms to school and were polite to teachers and adults, did many chores around the house. We all ate dinner at home with other siblings, mother and father.

Oh well, no one can do this much change.
