Editor: UPEI Professor Peter McKenna apparently has reserved the right to rudely and sarcastically criticize those who have opinions different from his own left-wing liberal points of view. He suggests in this newspaper’s editorial service that contributors must provide a list of references and sources for his or her claims.

Prof. McKenna has yet to provide such refreshing considerations in his own insulting diatribes.

My late friend, J. Angus MacLean, farmer, student of science, war hero, politician, cabinet minister, premier and gentleman, often quoted the following from Sir Walter Scott, in my presence and that of many others:

“Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.”

Prof. McKenna should take a long hard look in the mirror before he runs off with his usual wild and unsubstantiated claims.
