Editor: Our esteemed Premier Robert Ghiz, when asked by taxpayers to use the before GST price on gasoline, as it is very expensive to travel in P.E.I. or heat our homes here, said yes but only if the federal government will fund the lost amount, or the education budget will have to be lowered.

I am slow on this. You mean when we had more students and more teachers in the system, the flat gasoline tax was enough, and now when 20 teachers positions have been lost and we have less and less students, we need more money?

While I am trying to figure out how your logic works, may I suggest less gallivanting on trade missions and change the pension vesting for MLAs to reflect what is happening in Canadian working society. In case you have not felt it in your position, the people of P.E.I. are hurting financially.
