Editor: I applaud David Steeves’ letter of April 11th where he complains about the activities of our elected representatives in Question Period. It most certainly is embarrassing to watch grown adults act in juvenile mode. I note they ask the same question over and over with just a slight alteration to the repetitious query. One would think the Speaker would have the power to disallow repeated questions that have no credence or continuity. Does she not have ‘power?’
There is one bright light in the dark cloud — the channel selector. So if you want a laugh watch Question Period on Eastlink TV. Island politicians are born comedians.
