Editor: NATO has no political leaders that are hawks to lead so Putin ordered Russian troops to invade Crimea. NATO will have to reverse its decision and employ nuclear weapons in Poland. If not Putin will take whatever Russia lost one country at a time.

Canada will need political leaders that are hawks to deal with the issue of Quebec’s separation. Former premier Joe Ghiz allowed fearmongers to imply that the Atlantic provinces would be cut off from the rest of Canada should Quebec separate. The fearmongers won’t be able to downplay the importance the four Atlantic Province have for the rest of Canada to claim sovereignty over the Gulf of St.Lawrence.

The United States and the rest of Canada can’t afford to allow the entrance to the Gulf of St. Lawrence to go unprotected. Having someone like Premier Robert Ghiz speak for Prince Edward Island at a time when the separatists could return to power in Quebec speaks volumes about how unprepared Islanders are for the present and future.
