Editor: With all the discord over our Olympic champion’s success, I wish to offer my sincere congratulations to Heather Moyse's splendid achievements in the Winter Olympics. Successful yet humble, this lovely young woman has brought home honour as well as medals.

At the same time I am saddened that she and her family were crassly used for political gain by our premier Robert Ghiz.

His intention to change the rules whereby future awards are to be granted is uncalled for and unneeded. His father would never have done so. Shame, sir.
