Help out city crews

Editor: Instead of complaining about the amount of snow on city streets and sidewalks downtown businesses and residents could help out when city crews get behind.

They could clear off the sidewalks in front of their residence or place of business to help out because every cubic foot of snow has to be trucked out of the downtown area.

Public Works crews can’t keep up with the amount of snow, with over 80 cm. falling in less than three weeks and more on the way.

Unless we buy or hire much more equipment downtown residents need to be patient and accept the situation because it’s only the downtown part of the city which is having problems.

This is one of the drawbacks of living right downtown.
