No excuse for streets

Editor: I couldn’t agree more than with the editorial of the Guardian, as well as J.G. Walsh, for their comments Thursday on the inexcusable conditions of our city streets at the time of year when everyone is struggling to get their Christmas shopping finished.

Even walking was deplorable. Can you, who are responsible, imagine someone handicapped or even older seniors trying to park and climb over snowbanks? There is absolutely no excuse for the lack of response to these situations, except for saving money for much less important things.

There were a few “ambitious” ticketers actually ticketing cars. Good luck “downtown Charlottetown” as we try to compete with the big open, cleared parking lots at the big box malls.
