Editor: I wanted to make a comment. On Nov. 30, I was in P.E.I. to attend the funeral of my uncle Alexander Fraser.

While we were in the funeral procession on the way to the cemetery in Crapaud, I was amazed and touched by the respect of the residents of the Island. So many of the vehicles coming in the opposite direction pulled over to the side of the road, stopped and waited for the hearse to pass.

I was so surprised and it was so lovely to see such respect for the deceased and their families. As I have said I was so touched by the actions of these people that I felt I would like to say thank you to the people who showed such great respect.

It is too bad that it wasn’t done everywhere. I also noticed that many of the people who stopped were younger people as well. It was so nice to see and I am sure my uncle would have been very proud.

Thank you to each and every one of you.

Donna Pulsifer,
