Editor: It should be apparent to all and sundry by now that the Prime Politico is a serial polygamist. He is ready and willing to enter into any number of marriages based on a mutual lust, he for power, and the objects of his infatuations for the drippings of power with a good many shekels drawn from the taxpayers’ accounts thrown into the deal.
As any good marriage counsellor will tell you, any relationship built on a foundation of mutual lust will not last. What we are now seeing in the Red Chamber (sounds suspiciously like Bed Chamber, doesn’t it?) are the inevitable sequels to such gimcrack marriages: messy divorces. The parties to these failed marriages are squabbling over the supposed household assets accumulated during their short lived troths. They bemoan the loss of salary, pensions, benefits, good names, faith, trust, integrity, honesty and loyalty, all of which were undeserved or non-existent. What they fail to realize is the mutual accounts are dry, barren and shrinking quickly, soon to be mere dust motes floating on a cloud of hot air. Oh, for a good fresh gale from the west.
