Editor: Educators teach our children that we shouldn't bully others in school.
Schools in our country have rally days to teach our young about the damage it causes our children, the toll it takes, the constant taunting, name calling and demeaning one's soul.
But who teaches our employers and people they hire to manage their employees in the workforce, in the private sector, government? Who holds the adults accountable for their actions if employers allow managers to belittle employees and customers in the private sector? Who holds these people accountable for their bad behaviour?
We teach our children the damaging effects of bullying other children, now it's time to change our adults in the managerial position. They should be set to the same standards as our children in school. We shouldn't allow people like managers to abuse their powers. They should be held accountable for their actions just like we hold our children in school accountable for their actions.
If we ever expect our society to change everyone has to be held accountable, no matter his or her rank in society. We should not allow people to get away with demeaning others because these people do not like others because they do not submit to their views or ways.
