Driver, 28, blows over twice legal limit just after 3:30 a.m. Saturday

Charlottetown Police Services received a complaint early Saturday morning at 3:42 a.m. regarding a possible impaired driver on Summer Street.

Police patrolled the area and found the reported vehicle, said a report from the department.

Officers determined the operator of the vehicle was impaired by alcohol, and arrested the 28-year-old male driver, a resident of Charlottetown.

The man had in excess of twice the legal amount of alcohol in his blood and will be appearing in provincial court at a later date, said a police report.

"Charlottetown Police Services encourage the public to report any instances of impaired driving," said the report. "Call 911 and potentially save a life."
