The RCMP have arrested a third person in connection with a rash of vehicle thefts over the past three months.
On Saturday, members of the Kings District RCMP arrested a 15- year-old Montague youth in relation to thefts that occurred in and around Lower Montague between Jan. 5 and March 14.
Two other men were arrested last week.
Twelve charges have been laid against the youth, including five in relation to thefts of vehicles, one of break and enter, one of theft of a wallet and several of breach of probation.
The youth has been remanded to the Summerside Youth Centre and is scheduled to appear in Charlottetown court this morning.
Thirty-six charges have been laid against the 18-year-old Lower Montague man previously arrested in relation to these vehicle thefts and other offences. He was remanded into custody and will be appearing in court today in Charlottetown.
Fifteen charges have been laid against a 19-year-old Lower Montague man who has been released from custody and will be appearing in Georgetown court on March 31 to answer to the charges.
