Florence Mary Hogan, 67, of Tignish, ordered to pay $500 fine

Florence Mary Hogan, 67, of Tignish, was ordered Tuesday to pay a fine of $500 after she pleaded guilty to one count of, while acting as a fishery observer, of providing false information in the course of her duties.

The incident occurred on May 30, 2013.

Hogan appeared in Prince County provincial court in Summerside.

She has three months to pay the fine.

    This has got to be the best yet. A Fishery observer, was she an informant being paid? What kind of a position is this. A 67 yr old lady being charged with something this fooolish. My God the rest of Canada must think this media is quite a comedy
