RCMP make arrests for multiple vehicle thefts

Three male youths and one adult from the Cornwall area will be charged with multiple offences in connection with the theft of four vehicles earlier this week in Queens and Prince Counties.

The vehicles were stolen late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

All four accused will appear in court in April.

And stealing cars is not the only charge they’ll be facing.

The investigating officers were able to determine that the same four people were responsible for going through numerous vehicles during the night.

A Cornwall business   sustained damage and these four will be charged for mischief and damage to property.

In total the four were responsible for 19 separate complaints to the police and numerous charges will be laid in these matters.

All stolen vehicles have been recovered.

The RCMP reminds people to secure their property. It is not advisable to leave keys or items of value in your vehicle when unattended.

Let's hope they chop off a hand for stealing so they never do it again.

Well done the RCMP, lets hope your efforts are not wasted if these four come before good old J.D.

My Compass was gone through Monday, March 7. My brand new $200 jacket was stolen out of my Jeep. I live in Long Creek. I will be contacting the police to see if it has been recovered. I am so glad they have been caught but it did teach me to lock my doors as it is not even safe in the country.
