Police in Charlottetown lay drug and weapons charges

A  21-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged with possessing methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking.

A spokesman for the Charlottetown Police Services street crime unit arrested the man on Great George St., Monday afternoon.

In addition to the drug charge police also charged the man with  possessing prohibited weapons and seized a quantity of cash.

The accused   was jailed and will  appear in provincial court at a later date.
