William Thomas Sparling, 47, last seen Thursday walking away from residence on Colville Road

Queens District RCMP is seeking the public's help to locate a missing man.

William Thomas Sparling, 47, was last seen walking away from a residence on Colville Road on Thursday, Feb. 25 at approximately 2:00 p.m., says a report issued by the police force Friday afternoon.

His family is concerned for his safety, says the report.

He may have been seen hitch-hiking on Route 2, heading towards the Confederation Bridge around 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Sparling is described as five feet six inches tall and approximately 200 pounds. He has a beard and brown hair, but is noticeably balding on the top.

He was last seen wearing black jeans, a Toronto Maple Leafs sweat shirt, and a Toronto Maple Leafs hat.

Police are asking for anyone with information on where William Thomas Sparling might be to call RCMP at (902) 368-9300 or for a possible cash reward, make anonymous contact with Crime Stoppers on the Internet or on Facebook, or by anonymous text message on Apple iOS or Android-based devices, or with a toll-free call to  1-877-222-8477.
