38-year-old man facing numerous charges after stealing vehicle from O’Leary Legion parking lot

O’LEARY - A 38-year-old man is facing numerous charges after allegedly driving a stolen vehicle into a snowbank while impaired on Saturday afternoon.

West Prince RCMP received a call at approximately 3:41 p.m. of an impaired man having stolen the vehicle from the O’Leary Legion parking lot.

After conducting patrols in the area, police said they located the stolen vehicle in a snow bank.

Police then arrested the driver and transported him to West Prince RCMP detachment, where he provided breath samples of nearly three times the legal limit.

Police said he has been remanded in custody and is facing charges of impaired driving, driving while disqualified, possession of property obtained by crime, uttering threats, mischief and breach of probation.

He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on Monday.
