The Prince Edward Island Regiment

Exercise Temperate Solider will see members of the 36 Canadian Brigade Group/the Prince Edward Island Regiment training in three locations across the Island over the next three days.

The training will take place at Strathgartney Provincial Park, Westisle Composite High School in Elmsdale and Montague Regional High School from February 19-21 .

The public is advised that they may see soldiers carrying weapons. However, no live or blank ammunition will be used during the exercise. 

Military vehicle traffic will be moving on highways between locations.

Members of the public are asked to follow safety instructions should they come in contact with military personnel during the exercise.

This type of realistic exercise is necessary to prepare military personnel to be combat ready in order to fulfill the Canadian Armed Forces mandate of protecting Canada and its interests at home and abroad, and to serve in diverse environmental conditions.
