The RCMP arrested a Wheatley River area man Tuesday after he allegedly drove his truck into a light pole while drunk.

Tuesday morning the RCMP were patrolling near Cornwall when they saw a GMC Sierra truck driving in an erratic manner.

The RCMP report that before they could pull the truck over it hit a light standard at the entrance to Cow’s Creamery on the Trans-Canada Highway.

The truck’s driver allegedly provided breathalyzer samples that were almost three times the legal limit.

He is scheduled to appear in court in March.
