A 15-year-old boy has to pay $150 in fines after police ticketed him for driving an unregistered ATV Monday afternoon.

A Kings District RCMP officer observed the yellow ATV driving along the shoulder of the road in Souris and later apprehended the driver as he dismounted from the vehicle behind the Souris Rink.

The youth was issued a $150 ticket and the ATV was towed away from the scene. The vehicle will be held until the owner the vehicle can provide proof of registration.

The Kings District RCMP has received numerous complaints over the past several months in relation to ATVs being operated illegally in the town of Souris.

The RCMP reminds the public they have ‘zero tolerance' for off highway vehicles being operated illegally.
