Barber Joe Punzo has started his own business on the ground floor of a new apartment building at the corner of Prince and Grafton Streets in Charlottetown. Punzo was working at Rose's Barber Shop on Prince Street until a fire forced them out last May.
Charlottetown barber Joe Punzo plans on operating on a few Sundays to raise money for charity – just not quite yet.
Punzo recently opened his own business on the ground floor of the new apartment building at the corner of Prince and Grafton streets.
In an interview with The Guardian, Punzo said he planned to open on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and that all proceeds would go to local charities.
On Tuesday, Punzo hinted that he may wait until the weather improves first before opening on a couple of Sundays for charity.
For now, he’s cutting hair Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
