Accident around 6:30 a.m. results in impaired charges on driver who blew twice blood alcohol limit
Charlottetown Police Services received a complaint Sunday morning at 6:30 a.m. about an accident on Riverside Drive.
Officers arrived and soon determined the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was drunk, said a statement issued by police Monday.
The driver, a 53-year-old female resident of Charlottetown is now facing charges of impaired driving. She was not injured in the accident.
She blew readings showing twice the legal amount of alcohol in her blood, said the statement.
