Wind warning in place.
Wind advisory in place for 10 p.m. today until 2 p.m. tomorrow as forecast showing possible gusts to 100 km/h
The Confederation Bridge is expected to be closed to high-sided vehicles later today through much of tomorrow.
A wind warning advisory was issued this afternoon. It is based on data the bridge control centre receives from a weather forecasting service the looks just at the area around the bridge.
That forecast is predicting high winds in the range 70 to 80 kilometres per hour, with gusting to 100 km/h starting about 10 p.m. today and continuing until 2 p.m. tomorrow.
If that wind does happen, traffic restrictions are sure to be in place for high-sided vehicles trying to cross Confederation Bridge, says the warning.
