A 34-year-old Mt. Stewart man has been charged with impaired driving after police who stopped him for a traffic offence determined he was impaired.
A spokesman for Charlottetown Police Services said the accused was stopped on Bayfield Street about 3 a.m. Sunday.
Breathalyzer tests taken subsequent to that revealed he had a blood/alcohol level more than double the legal limit.
The accused will be appearing in provincial court at a later date.
