Queens, Kings RCMP raid home Tuesday to arrest 55-year-old Scotchfort man

A police raid on a home in Scotchfort Tuesday found marijuana all done up ready for sale.

The raid began around 10 a.m. involving officers from both Queens and Kings district RCMP.

"The home was searched and a quantity of pre-packaged marijuana in varying amounts (was) seized," said a statement issued by the police force today.

The end result was the arrest of a 55-year-old man from Scotchfort. He is facing drug-trafficking charges.

The man has been released from custody and will be appearing in provincial court at a later date, said the RCMP.

"If you have information about this or any other investigation, call the RCMP or Crime Stoppers," said the release.

While you stay safe snuggled in your bed (or behind your computer) the RCMP are out there doing their jobs keeping our communities safe. What have YOU done for your community/province/country lately?

@And meanwhile Jim Keeping our communities safe is not why the RCMP are busting people selling pot. They're busting people selling pot to justify +$80k wages and a full pension after 25 years. They do keep the community safe in other ways and generally the work they do is important, but busting pot dealers is really nothing that admirable. It's going to be legal soon and the only reason anyone's life is being ruined is because the government has been slow to wise up and take a cut by taxing it.

Oh so if you want to do something that's illegal that makes it legal? Maybe the dumbass breaking the law is the one wasting resources.
