Blew warning on roadside screening device after police find suspect vehicle reported through 911

A driver in a parking lot lost their drivers licence for seven days over the weekend.

A report from Charlottetown Police Services said it got a call about an impaired driver on University Avenue just after 3 a.m. Sunday.

Patrols were made and the suspect vehicle was eventually seen at a parking lot off the avenue.

"(The) operator of (the) vehicle indicated an alert on the roadside screening device and was issued a seven-day driving suspension," said the police report.

"Charlottetown Police Services encourage the public to report any instances of impaired driving (by calling) 911," said the report.
