Islanders should get ready for more snow with Environment Canada issuing an advisory for Wednesday.

Environment Canada warns of an intensifying low-pressure system that will track across Nova Scotia and into the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Significant snowfall and gusting winds are expected across P.E.I.

The snow will change over to rain in eastern parts of the province Wednesday afternoon.

Higher than normal water levels and rough surf are likely along the coastline of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
