The walkway between Queen Street and Browns Court will be open 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. until the issue is resolved between the city and the property owner.
The walkway between Queen Street and Browns Court will re-open on an interim basis.
The City of Charlottetown and the owner of the properties located at 16, 18 and 20 Brown’s Court have agreed to open the gate that provides access between Queen Street and University Avenue on an interim basis.
This agreement involves the city closing the gate at 10:30 p.m. and re-opening it at 6:30 a.m.
This interim measure provides both parties with an opportunity to discuss a number of safety concerns regarding how the travelling public traverse the section of property that exists between the two street connections.
Both parties recognize that this is a temporary arrangement which has been put in place while the parties attempt to reach a finalized agreement.
