A 31-year-old Kilmuir man is facing drunk driving charges after driving while over the legal limit, while his licence was suspended and on an uninsured motorcycle.
MONTAGUE — A 31-year-old Kilmuir man is facing drunk driving charges and must pay fines for driving an uninsured motorcycle and driving while his licence was suspended after being stopped in Montague Tuesday night.
Kings District RCMP stopped the motorcycle on Main Street after officers saw it passing another vehicle at a high rate of speed just after 11:30 p.m. The driver appeared impaired, so he was taken into the Kings District office to provide breath samples.
The driver has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Georgetown Court on Oct. 30. He was also issued tickets for the suspended licence and driving an uninsured vehicle.
