Helen Flynn has announced her candidacy for the Ward 9 (Stonepark) seat on Charlottetown City Council.
in the November 3 municipal election.
Flynn is a registered nurse who has held many leadership positions in corrections, health care and at Holland College. She has also been a community leader with Heart and Stroke P.E.I. & Canada, CIBC Run for the Cure, AIDS PEI and Four Neighborhoods Community Center.
Additionally, she has held leadership roles with the Association of Registered Nurses P.E.I. and the Canadian Nurses Association.
As well as her nursing education, Flynn has a diploma in public administration and a masters degree in adult education. She is married to Donnie Flynn and they have two daughters who grew up in Ward 9 and who have established their homes and families in the Stonepark neighbourhood.
“I intend to work with voters to identify municipal services needed in the ward and to build a strong neighborhood within the City of Charlottetown. I look forward to meeting with voters and hearing of your concerns and ideas,” said Flynn.
