RCMP PATROL CAR

A single vehicle accident in North Tryon early Saturday morning proved to be the undoing of a 22-year-old Borden-Carleton man.

When East Prince RCMP arrived on the scene they could smell liquor on the breath of the driver, but he refused to take a roadside screening test so he was arrested. But it did not end there. Police also determined he was in possession of marijuana so he was lodged in jail for the night.

After further checking on the man it was determined he was on parole and in violation of more than one parole condition so a parole warrant was issued for his return to federal custody. He will appear in court in Summerside on charges of refusing the breathalyzer and possession of marijuana in late September.
