A 25-year-old Lennox Island man is facing drunk driving charges after he lost control of the ATV he was on Tuesday morning.
In a news release, East Prince RCMP said officers responded to a 911 call in Lennox Island around 1:05 a.m. after the driver was thrown from an ATV.
He was and treated at Prince County Hospital for his injuries.
The RCMP said he later provided a breath sample that showed his blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 18.
In its release, the RCMP reminded the public that the penalties for operating recreational motor vehicles while impaired are the same as those for driving vehicles on the highway while impaired.
