A 27-year-old Summerside man is facing drunk driving charges after Kings District RCMP responded to a report of an altercation outside a home in Montague Saturday morning.
When the RCMP arrived the paramedics were treating two people for minor injuries after they were hit by a car in a driveway.
The driver left the scene and the RCMP found the vehicle a short time later on Main Street in Montague.
When the RCMP found the driver he allegedly showed signs of alcohol impairment and was taken to the detachment in Montague where he provided breathalyzer samples that were above the legal limit.
The driver was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Georgetown on Aug. 28.
