Stratford woman dies after accidental injury

STRATFORD - A 63-year-old woman died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after being taken to the hospital from her home here last night.

At around 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Stratford RCMP, the Crossroads Fire Department and Island EMS responded to a 911 call of a female injured in her home.

The injury was not classified fatal upon arrival but the woman was taken to the hospital after experiencing further complications.

RCMP said the woman’s cause of death will be determined by the coroner.

Neither the woman’s name nor the cause of death has yet to be released.
