Prince Edward Island provincial court

A 24-year-old Charlottetown woman has been sentenced in provincial court to serve 45 days in the provincial correctional centre for breach of probation.

Danielle Emma Jean Adams breached her probation by failing to complete the community service work hours assigned to her.

Adams’ most recent probation order called for her to perform 50 hours of community service work. She did not complete a single hour.

The court was told Adams had also been assigned community service work as part of a previous probation order and had not completed any of those hours either. The court was also told Adams has a history of not keeping appointments scheduled for her.

Judge Nancy Orr told Adams that when the court makes an order it expects those orders to be complied with.

Upon release from custody, Adams will be placed on probation for six months.

Orr ordered Adams to complete all 100 hours ofcommunity service work still outstanding fromprevious probation orders.

“Do your community service work, it’s not going away,” Orr said.
